</ns1:description>
<ns1:description language="en">The aim of this Bachelor Thesis was to examine the hypothesis that a specifically adapted individual feed portion positively influences the sport horses willingness to perform in sport. To validate this assumption a survey with a total of 43 questions, of which 41 were closed questions with two open questions that could be answered optionally, was created for all in horse sport: active horse owners, trainers and riders– regardless of the number of horses, discipline and horse type. A total of 558 people took part in the survey, of which female participation with 91,8 % and the age group of 21—30 year olds with 47,8 % dominate. Furthermore, 97,8 % of the horses which are to 77,8 % warmbloods are offered hay as basic feed. From the hay-feeding athletes 99,3 % value the importance to good quality of hay, 77,7 % of whom rely on their own judgment. Of these 77.7 %, it can be determined that those horses from equestrians who have trained sport horses for more than ten years have fewer health restrictions, better constitution and, for the most part, very good willingness to perform. Further investigations have shown that the sport horses who receive a daily basic feed amount of 1,6—2 kilogram per 100 kilogram body weight and make up 23.8 %, compared to the alternative amounts up to 1.5 kilogram per 100 kilogram body weight (38.4 %) and hay ad libitum (37.8 %), tend towards having a good willingness to perform and an ideal physical condition despite increased stress and more frequent tournament participation. Feed supplements are offered by 60,0 % of the survey participants, of which straw is used the most with 65,7 %. Concentrated feed is fed from 60,0 % in an amount of 1—3 kilogram. Oats are the most popular concentrated feed in daily horse feed. In addition 89.3 % of the equestrians adjust the daily amount of feed to the physical activity and an individual portion for the sport horse, which is reflected in the increased motivation of the sport horse. Furthermore, 59.7 % of the people surveyed feed differently at tournaments than normally at home, 40.7 % of which increase the amount of concentrated feed. With regard to the hypothesis, this can be confirmed on the basis of the results obtained. In addition, 84.6 % of the survey participants who answered the last, optional question with usable information agree that the willingness of a sport horse to perform is related to its feeding. </ns1:description>
